Alexa and marathon updates

And the Alexa dropped to below 10M! Yes!

It’s nearly the end of March. This week is Lent and I know that instead of reflecting and praying and fasting, I might be doing marathon postings across my other blogs. I am neglectful in updating most of my blogs, especially these past two weeks. Super tamad kasi! If you browse my blogs, you won’t find anything but the SPs. Kaya ngayon, marathon posting talaga.

Anyway, I think it’s a habit we bloggers already have. Especially those who are into SPs. If we don’t feel like writing interim posts, them we don’t. We will just leave it for tomorrow when we are already inspired to write some more.

But I will vow to write more this April. I will really try to schedule posts every weekend. I will also stop waiting for the due date before I do the SPs. Tama na ang procrastination!

Agenda today: Wart removal

My sister Vivian has been nagging me about getting my warts removed since last year. But since I was too lazy to get off my butt and go to the derm clinic, I’ve been postponing it again and again.

Last night, though, I finally decided that I would really have to undergo wart removal. So this lunch time, my sisters and I went to the mall. Grash and Meng watched a movie. Vivian, Hazel and I went to the derm clinic. They accompanied and waited for me while I was having my warts removed.

You know, today, I learned that my tolerance for pain has gone down. I easily get hurt now. What women do in the name of beauty! :D

I’ll be going back to the derm clinic by Easter Sunday for check-up. I am hoping the cauterized warts will be totally gone by then.

Alexa

This blog’s Alexa rating is improving. In less than two weeks, without too much traffic, from 28M it’s now down to 12M. Yeah!

I just like to see the ratings improve. But I have no desire to monetize this blog.

;)

Fun dinners and weekend cramming

I haven’t been updating much the past few days. I just had too much going on that updating became impossible. Anyway, my last update was on the 16th. 17th I wrote too many posts spread across my other blogs. Pending tasks. Then…

On the 18th… it was my sister Meng’s 28th birthday. It was a simple day the highlight of which was our dinner at Jay-J’s. I’ve been craving for their Sisig rice for days and since I’ve been telling my sister and the rest of the family about it, they chose the place my friends and I frequent.

It was just an ordinary dinner but it was a lot of fun! As usual, there’s so much to talk about over dinner. So we ended up eating a lot and discussing so much :)

On the 19th… I went to Jay-J’s again this time around with my friends Tim, Shen and Jing. It was just one of those days when one of us needed a lift-me-up so we decided to meet up.

As usual, we had coffee at Starbucks after dinner. And the girl talk seemed like it’s never going to end!

All in all, I had great Thursday and Friday nights. After that, it’s back to work for me. Saturday and Sunday I was cramming and time was not enough to finish everything. Actually, until today, I am still doing some pending tasks. I am hoping that this week will be productive for me although if today is an indication, it might be another so-so week for me once again.

Happy Monday!

;)

On a happier note…

I had a haircut! ♥

We went to the mall (again) yesterday, Meng, Grash, Hazel and I. I was really eager to cut my hair shorter for days so since the two teachers were available yesterday, we went to the mall to get it done. Hazel had a haircut, too. We’re now sporting short haircuts. Yeah!

Anyway, since Meng and I are on the path to watching almost all the good movies of this year, I suggested we check if Extraordinary Measures is already being shown at SM North Edsa. And it is!

We went to see it and we were so happy we did. Brendan Fraser, Harrison Ford and Keri Russel did a fine job in the roles they played. The story is about John Crowley (Brendan) and his wife Aileen who are looking for a cure to their children’s life-threatening Pompe disease. John found Dr. Stonehill (Harrison) online and his work is the most advanced being developed to cure Pompe. It was a race against time because according to scientific studies, kids sick with Pompe have a lifespan of only 9 years. John and Aileen’s daughter is already 8 years old, while their son who’s also sick with Pompe is already 6.

Long story short, they were able to find a way to slow down the spread of the disease and to lengthen the lives of the kids afflicted with Pompe disease. And all because of a father’s unrelenting quest to save his kids.

It was a very heartwarming story. A family drama that will really squeeze your hearts especially during the scenes that John’s kids could no longer control their muscles.

Watch it if you haven’t seen it yet!

This weekend, I am hoping to see Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me. I hope I won’t be disappointed with his acting hehe

Before anything else…

I am not a narrow-minded person. I can clearly understand things, especially the differences between cultures. I am the last person to ever raise an issue about race. You should have read between the lines. I am not crazy to bring up something as sensitive as that! You were offended by it? You should have talked to me directly and I would have cleared it up with you. You do not ask her to delete a post I made. You do not put a wedge between us. We’ve been friends for 18 freaking years!

Friend, I just hate how you always give in to him. You do not always give in to your man or he will walk all over you in the future. Trust me, it could happen. I am not saying he will do that to you. But he might. Because he is so used to you giving in to his wishes and always bending to his will. You could have told him that “NO, She is not that insensitive to raise an issue about race. Talk to her about it.” And then you DO NOT delete the post.

But what the hell? It’s just a freaking post! I just got so annoyed by the thought that NAPAHIYA AKO!

Badtrip!

Update Today {in Tagalog} =)

Lagi akong inaantok dahil sa init. Grabe talaga! I sold our aircon pa naman because nobody’s using it. Or when we do use it, nagi-spike talaga ang electric bill naman. I asked my aunt to get it from us na lang and she did. The past few days, sising-sisi naman ako that I sold it pa dahil nga sa init. Hay.

Wish ko talagang magkaroon na ng laptop na bago. I can’t afford it yet dahil sa dami ng bayarin. Minsan naiisip kong bumalik na uli sa corporate world pero iniisip ko naman na mas malaki pa rin ang kinikita ko with what I am doing now. Bahala na. Come May, I should have a concrete plan na talaga.

That’s it for now. I don’t feel like writing too much today (but I have to). I hope that I will be more enthusiastic in my next post. Kakatamad kasi talaga ang init. As in.

Running on schedule

The start of the week is not too good for me. I was only able to finish a couple of entries. I plan on doing a weekend marathon update across my blogs but I just lazed around and slept for the most part of Sunday. It’s good that I was able to catch up on sleep but I messed up my schedule again.

Do you notice how I run on schedule?

If I want to finish something, what I do is I schedule it in my head. I would keep on reminding myself about it until it’s the only thing consuming me. Weird ano? But I function properly that way. When I mess up my schedule, I get irritated and would feel stressed until I was able to get it done and straighten my schedule again.

That’s me.

So now, I feel stressed because I am not yet done with my marathon blog update. Hopefully, I can finish before 5am today.
